Since 1986 Fitness Master has been the only locally owned exercise equipment store on the Gulf Coast. In May of that year, Ron and Teresa Hebert saw a need for a place that people could get quality equipment, and expert advice, to help them reach their fitness goals. The business grew from a 1000 sq. ft. shop in Fontanel Plaza to the current location at 5515 N. Davis Highway in front of Home Depot. A 3500 sq. ft. showroom with a 5000 sq. ft. warehouse is the culmination of 21 Plus years of providing great products and service to our customers.
In 1997 we opened a store in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, to serve our growing customer base in the Emerald Coast area. Our FWB location is in Uptown Station on Eglin Parkway.
In 2003, Chris and Julie Coffey took ownership of Fitness Master. Although ownership changed, the commitment remained the same. Chris has been in the fitness industry for 20 years, and a Pensacola resident since 1998.
Fitness Master is proud to be part of the Gulf Coast. As sponsors of the Pensacola Pelicans Professional Baseball Team and the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL, to charity events, road races, fund raisers, and area health fairs, Fitness Master is a part of Pensacola.We want to support our area in family oriented, fitness minded events to promote a healthy lifestyle to our friends, neighbors, and customers.
Fitness has changed over the last 20 years (of course, so have most other industries) and Fitness Master has kept up with those changes. Remember the "ski machine"? Anyone out there own an "EZ Rider"? The point is, that as trends have changed and knowledge and technology have increased the staff of Fitness Master has tried hard to stay up with those improvements. We want to provide you with good advice based on what we learn from our suppliers and other experts in the field of health and fitness.
Our cardio equipment features treadmills from Vision Fitness, True Technology, and Landice. We carry Elliptical Trainers from Octane Fitness, Vision Fitness, True Technology, as well as the Cybex Arc Trainer. Our exercise bikes are also from Vision Fitness and True Technology. A category making a comeback is the rowing machine and we have rowers from Water Rower and Stamina.
Looking for a home gym? We have the best! Hoist Fitness is the hands-down leader in the business and we stock a complete line of their products. We also handle Body Solid and Vision Fitness strength equipment as well.
Our business is only a good as our people and we have a staff of experienced professionals on board. Pensacola native, Mike Stefanko has been at our store about 20 years. He serves as General Manager and Buyer. Our Pensacola store is managed by Chris Messer, an Exercise Physiologist from the University of Florida. Our Fort Walton Beach store is managed by Mark Guerin, with 10 years of tenure in the fitness industry.
We have a commercial division consisting of John Wooten and Joe Campbell that specialize in the needs of area health clubs, condo and apartment complexes, corporate, school, church, and municipal fitness rooms.
Our factory trained service department is lead by Chuck Brougham, a former aeronautics technician that has been with us for 6 years.
Your gear will be delivered by a polite group of young men that will assemble your equipment correctly, and not tear up your place doing it.
